Blog Post #5 Questions

What I've learned from designing a sound research study is you have to be very meticulous. The process is not easy but it's not complicated either. Being accountable led me to be very efficient about my work. This allowed me to become confident and well-acquainted with my topic, allowing me to compose a satisfying piece of literature. What this has taught me about future roles as a technical/professional communicator is one must be reliable and decisive. Upon completion of this assignment I believe your preparation becomes critical in producing exceptional literature.

Blog Post #4 Plans for Revisions

I think the opportunity for revision is perfect to improve especially when addressing a paper like a research proposal. To improve my research proposal I'd like to: state my method clearly (mixed, quantitative, or qualitative)  add IRB mentions closely follow the assignment sheet that Dr. Bacabac is suggesting  I still have to write my conclusion and this part is what I'd like to really work on as I tie this whole proposal together.  As for now, I like my topic. I think that it's purpose is clear and persuasive.

Blog Post #3 Research Gap

The topic I had chosen for my literature review: h ow social media on public safety affects the public's trust? Having already presented particular circumstances, that trust between the public and public safety had been broken , I was able to find critical evidence on h ow public safety attempts to repair its relationship with broken communities and additional information on h ow social media influences police agencies and their relationships with the public. If there was a research gap from the review, I would say it is the question of how different lived experiences, emotions, and behaviors may provide insightful meaning to public organizations. I believe these experiences, emotions, and behaviors can be examined by conducting qualitative research. I'd be open to hear what different qualitative research methods I could possibly use for the research proposal. As of now these were the methods I was thinking about: interviews, focus groups, usability tests, field observations,...

Blog Post #2 Research Topic and 10 Sources

The topic I've decided to go with is, how  social media on public safety affects the public's trust. Not only have I been able to find   articles associated with current law enforcement issues  but I've been able to find articles using specific social media platforms like Twitter, IG, and  Facebook. As a result,  I'm able to utilize different social media platforms to uncover different perceptions from different age groups and different ethnicities on public safety.  These are my 10 sources I've been able to find:  Executive Order 14074--Advancing Effective, Accountable Policing and Criminal Justice Practices To Enhance Public Trust and Public Safety. (2022). Daily Compilation of Presidential Documents , 1–20. Bennell, C., Alpert, G., Andersen, J. P., Arpaia, J., Huhta, J., Kahn, K. B., Khanizadeh, A., McCarthy, M., McLean, K., Mitchell, R.
